A.T.S. is a group of professional teachers (with over 50 years experience in education) who collaborated to form a registered business after providing tuition in Melbourne and London. We at A.T.S. realised there was a need within the community to offer a professional standard in the educational tuition field and, as a consequence, A.T.S. was established. Advance Tutoring School provides either one to one tuition in your home or small group learning within a school environment at the A.T.S. centre.

Our school is a highly professional organisation which employs only trained teachers who have Victorian Institute of Teaching (V.I.T.) registration or equivalent. On the rare occasion that we employ undergraduates (who are undertaking formal tertiary studies in relevant areas) or degree specialists, A.T.S. ensures that they are police checked and A.T.S., of course, provides all the necessary training.

The staff at A.T.S. are able to deliver the current courses which are offered at primary and secondary schools throughout Melbourne. This includes the current educational study designs of VELS and VCE.

A.T.S. - An historical perspective

 

Over 20 years ago a group of professional teachers were providing private tuition for students in homes across Melbourne and overseas. Those teachers worked with students in the capacity of one to one, but while overseas a couple of teachers began a tutoring service for small groups of students. The students in the small group tutoring tended to compete better (than the individually tutored students) in examinations as they were continually challenged by their peers within that small group workshop and they were always therefore working in a dynamic environment where many questions and responses were active.

 

A.T.S. concluded that as a business it could provide safe exceptional tuition to all students while keeping the costs as low as possible.
